Buying a property in Montenegro is still a great value for a money. Montenegro is tiny country, but in that small package there is everything one could wish: high mountains, lakes, climate, culture and history and kilometers of sandy beaches. So the sudden interest for Montenegro isn't by accident. More likely this country was always destined to be property hit - it just happened that history and politics kept her from arising from anonymity. Today, when Montenegro is independent state and when the government works around the clock to get Montenegro into European Union as fast as possible it is different story. All the rush about buying property in Bulgaria, Turkey and elsewhere and it was like people neglected Montenegro. Once when they realized how much potential this small country holds and once the political barriers had been raised up the property rush moved to Montenegro big time.

Properties in Montenegro a being snapped up by far sighted Europeans. Some of them had already made a hefty profit, many of will wait more for prices to increase toward the higher end before they decide to sell them. Some of the areas, like a land around Sveti Stefan tripled its prices from just two years ago. But it is not only about business. People in Montenegro that are used to see number of foreigners only during the short summer touristic season now accustom themselves to new, year round neighbors. That is especially true for Russians. Many of them bought property not for profit but to spend most of the year in Montenegro and to start up a business.
